‘Barry Lee’ has been competing and winning trophies for over 60 years, the last 50 of them as a Racing driver.
Some love him, some loath him, but all agree he is a true ‘Racing legend’ and one of life’s ‘real characters’.

His career and championship titles covered many forms of motorsport including: Autocross, Rallycross, Hot-Rod's, Truck Racing, Saloon Car (now known as Touring Car), Eurocar, Caterhams, Metro’s and the Paris Dakar. He's even had a go at some of the newest forms of motorsport such as Drifting

With multiple World Championship titles under his belt, Barry is much in demand as his direct approach and freely given forthright opinions make him a good choice for interviewers as they can always be assured of insightful and amusing answers both on and off screen.

As well  as working for Granada TV's ‘World of sport’, Anglia TV and Sky Sports as a TV sports commentator,  Barry also worked on Noel Edmond's 'Late Late Breakfast show' and ‘Top Gear live’ coordinating and executing car stunts.

Derek Bell, Barry Lee and Anneka Rice in TVs Driving Force
One of his favorite TV roles was with Anneka Rice in 'Driving Force': a TV driving competition featuring championship winning Race Drivers: Derek Bell, Nigel Mansell and Tony Pond. Who were pared up with celebrities: Murray Walker, Rowan Atkinson and Malcolm MacDonald. All of which still vividly remember the experience!

In the 1999 ‘Motor Sport News’ millennium Motorsport hero poll, Barry was voted 17th in the top 100 most popular drivers in the world.

2004 saw Barry working for Sky TV as a presenter and commentator for National Hotrods and other events.

In 2005, 2008 and 2010 Barry worked with Langley Rally School as a senior instructor, whilst also working with the much loved Martin Hines at Zip karts developing the business and supporting martin's ‘young guns’ program.

Throughout his career Barry has continually assisted performance-product manufacturers with ‘development’ work in many areas of the industry and a number of big names owe their success, in part, to him.

Now in his 60's, Barry is as enthusiastic as ever. He still makes periodic appearances behind the wheel at circuits around Britain, is a popular 'Key note speaker' at private events, provides private consultation and tuition, periodically commentates for Motors T.V and Sky Sports T.V. and still puts cars through their paces for magazines, manufacturers and private individuals.
